TMS staff assess organizational and eq
uipment performance using tailored methodologies leveraging best practices from Lean, Six Sigma (LSS) and Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA). TMS staff coach clients through the improvement process to ensure stakeholders, process owners and senior leaders buy-in to the proposed improvements and understand the “burning platform” and ROI of implementing change. We use the same continuous improvement mindset in executing ILA for systems/equipment. Our ILA approach not only fulfills DOD 5000.02 milestone review compliance requirements but we also leverage our expertise in product support to dig deeper to identify strength, weakness, and opportunities for improvement to enable achievement of key performance parameters and metrics. We help clients address the toughest issues in product support planning, e.g., technical data rights and strategies, efficient provisioning, effective warranties, proactive DMSMS/obsolescence issue resolution, and realistic product baseline ownership and configuration management processes. Our staff applied these approaches on projects from small scale equipment modifications to enterprise-wide product line management (e.g., cannon caliber ammunition) as well as in developing a Service-wide product support strategy.
