Logistics Data Analyst
Description

Data analyst conducts data mining and analysis of military equipment readiness using off the shelf software and U.S. Navy maintenance data collection and supply data systems.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct data mining, cleansing, and analysis to resolve complex problems involved in equipment readiness and material availability.
  • Use software such as Python and R, Structured Query Language (SQL), Non Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) to data gathering, analysis and modeling to assess weapon system readiness and affordability.
  • Apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts and applying statistical and operations research methods and tools.
  • Research equipment readiness in maintenance data collection and supply systems to analyze reliability, availability, and maintainability performance.
  • Manage data objects in a commercial configuration management tool digital thread by linking data to system objects.
Qualifications
  • Education: BA/BS in any engineering or technical discipline.
  • Security Clearance: DOD Secret.
  • Experience working with advanced statistical analysis, failure mode analysis and reliability growth modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and R&M software, e.g., Windchill Risk and Reliability, Opus Suite.
  • Three plus years of experience in DOD program offices, NAVSEA preferred.
